Prakash Jha: Delhi is the capital of protests

Prakash Jha’s directorial Satyagraha is all about politics and when the film’s crew including Ajay Devgan, Arjun Rampal and the filmmaker himself, visited Delhi University for promotion, they talked about the importance of bringing this film to the state. Jha while talking about the film said, "For a movie like this, which shows people coming out and participating in movements, Delhi is like Mecca.”
He added in his statement, “I, Manoj and Arjun - we're all Delhi boys; we have studied here in Delhi University and understand the political vibe of the city very well. There's so much happening here, the people are active and now they understand their power. Delhi is actually the capital for protests.” While the director was giving his comments, Ajay instantly supplemented, "It is also the capital of corruption." He further mentioned that because of all these problems, people are coming forward and joining protests.
Arjun Rampal who is playing a politician in the film also remarked that they all are active in mass movements, "The way people came out on the streets was something that struck a chord with everyone, and in some ways, I believe, also influenced Prakashji during the film." The flick also casts Amitabh Bachchan who is playing an idealistic man, Kareena Kapoor in the film is an international journalist while Manoj Bajpai is Minister Balram Singh and Amrita Rao is essaying the role of Ajay’s friend’s wife Sumitra.
